Jane M Klausman Women in Business Scholarship

Zonta Club of Sydney JMK Women in Business Scholarship applications close June 30th 2021

The Jane M Klausman (JMK) Women in Business Scholarship program is a Zonta International initiative aimed at helping women pursue undergraduate and master’s degrees in business management. As of December 2020, 21.2% of S&P 500 companies’ board seats are occupied by women, and just 6% of the companies’ CEOs are women, so there is still a way to go to gender equality.

The program operates at Zonta club, district and international levels. Once awarded the club level scholarship, women may be eligible for the district level award, and then to the international scholarship. Each year, Zonta awards up to 32 scholarships of US$2000 at the district level and six international scholarships in the amount of US $8000.

Eligibility –

Women of any age pursuing a business program at an accredited university/college/institute who demonstrate outstanding potential in the field are eligible.

Students must be enrolled in at least the second year of an undergraduate program through the final year of a Master’s program at the time the application is submitted to the local Zonta club and must not graduate before December.

Applicants must be received by a local Zonta Club.

The Zonta Club of Sydney are accepting applications for the JMK Women in Business award for 2021 until June 30th 2021. The successful applicant will be notified by late July 2021, with the prize awarded at the August 2021 club meeting.
