Zonta was started in 1919 in Buffalo, New York, with a vision of improving the status of women. Today, Zonta International boasts over 29,000 members in more than 1150 clubs across 63 countries, a truly global organisation. In 2019, Zonta celebrated its centenary, and continues to look forward to another century of empowering women through advocacy.

Since it’s inception in 1919, Zontians have been involved in empowering women in developing countries through international service. Since the first international project was funded, over $USD19.2 million has been contributed to projects in 35 countries.
In the 2020 – 2022 biennium, Zonta International are supporting a number of projects –
