The Zonta Club of Sydney is one of the first Zonta clubs formed in Australia, established in 1966. Meetings are held monthly, on the third Wednesday of each month, at “Club York” 99 York St. Club members and their guests are entertained by a variety of interesting speakers, as well as enjoying a meal and the company of a diverse range of women.
The Zonta Club of Sydney supports both local and global projects which advance the status of women. Locally, the club funds a number of scholarships and prizes to assist women in their studies. Breast cushions are produced for women undergoing treatment for breast cancer, and we also support BKFA by packing birthing kits. Globally, Zonta International supports a number of projects including working towards ending child marriage and improving education for women in less developed countries.
