Every year each of the different areas within District 24 hold their workshops where members from across the region (for us, the clubs across metropolitan Sydney) join together to discuss projects, challenges, opportunities and share fellowship with other Zontians.
Thanks to club member Kerrie for her summary of the day –
“Despite the downpour, Zonta Club of Sydney members joined Zontians from across eastern and northern Sydney last Saturday at the annual Area 1 workshop. Beverly Baker, from the Older Women’s Network and the Aboriginal Education Council, spoke passionately about the rising tide of homeless women, and the group workshopped ideas about fund-raising and advocacy, and learned how to set up their own QR code for easy donating. A great day for idea sharing, learning and camaraderie.”
