Centenary of Zonta – Member profiles

2019 marks 100 years of Zonta after it was established in Buffalo New York.  The Zonta Club of Sydney was chartered in 1966, and was one of the first clubs formed in Australia.

As part of our centenary celebrations, and to recognise and acknowledge the contributions of some of our past and present members to fields as diverse as music, law, literature and manufacturing (to name just a few) the Zonta Club of Sydney aims to run a series of posts about our members and their wonderful lives and careers.   All members of Zonta have at their heart service to and advocacy for women and girls in all areas, and this forms a backdrop to many of their accomplishments.  Many members have also been recognised for these services with honours in the Order of Australia throughout the years.

So please keep an eye on our website and social media posts to learn more about the impressive and somewhat formidable women who have been and continue to be a part of the Zonta Club of Sydney.
