On Wednesday 17th July 2019 the Zonta Club of Sydney held our monthly club meeting at Club York in Sydney. This months meeting was another busy one, with the induction of a new member, presentation of long service certificates and another excellent guest speaker along with our usual excellent dinner and fun and fellowship with club members.
The club had the pleasure of inducting our newest member, Vanessa Sore, who was our guest of honour last month and who was awarded this years Zonta Club of Sydney’s prize for the top female graduate of the MBA program at the University of Technology Sydney. Vanessa will be a wonderful addition to our membership.
We also presented long service awards to club members Susan Copeland, Marcia Dane and Marilyn Smith, celebrating many years of service with our club and to Zonta as a whole.
And our guest speaker on the night was Nicole Yade, manager of Lou’s Place, the central Sydney daytime refuge for women. The Zonta Club of Sydney support Lou’s Place as one of our main service programs, collecting donations of underwear, toiletries and other essential items for the women who use the centre.

Zonta Club of Sydney
