On the 12th December members of the Zonta Club of Sydney enjoyed our annual Christmas dinner, to wrap up the year and celebrate both the work of Zontians across the world and our club friendships and fellowship. Held again this year at the Women’s College, a delicious dinner was enjoyed by all who attended.
Another annual tradition is our Christmas raffle, which raises funds for our club projects. This year the raffle funds will be going towards assisting women rebuilding their lives after prison. And what a raffle it was. The prizes included a massive Christmas hamper, accommodation in Hawks Nest thanks to our club member Marcia Seymour Dane, tickets to the Sydney Symphony, a basket of cosmetics, tickets and lunch at a Rosehill race meeting thanks to the ATC, and a Liz Davenport pack.
And well done to all our winners – Lyndell, Colleen, Inche, Tony, Joy and Kristiane. And thanks to everyone who bought tickets, we raised around $4000 for our projects in the next year.
