One of the ongoing Zonta District 24 (as well as other Zonta Districts across Australia) projects is to support the Birthing Kit Foundation Australia in their work to provide clean birth kits to women across the world to help to prevent child and maternal lives. A simple pack containing a plastic sheet, soap, gauze, gloves, a sterile blade and cord ties can help save lives and improve birth hygiene.
The Zonta Club of Sydney would like to invite you to come to our Birthing Kit Packing Day at Women’s College, on Sunday 15th March, 2026, and help to transform the birthing success of mothers and babies, in places where there is no access to sterile birthing conditions.
The Club and students at the Women’s College have already raised the funds for the kits, so there is no cost involved, but we need willing volunteers to put the pieces together into the kits.
Come and be part of something good and fun. Please feel free to bring family members and friends.
Sunday 15th March
1.30pm to 5pm
Menzies Common Room at the Women’s College in the University of Sydney (off Carillon Ave Camperdown)
