Are you going to be visiting Darling Harbour or the International Convention Centre this week? If so make sure to stop by the brightly coloured trees which have been “yarn bombed” to support the Zonta says YES to gender equality campaign.
You may have seen these creative installations when they were hung in Circular Quay during the 16 Days of Activism in November and December last year. Regardless of whether you have seen them before, please drop by if you are around the ICC to read more about Zonta and our projects and then share our bright colours on your social media. We are very grateful for all the work of Zonta District 24 clubs, and especially of those members who are coordinating these projects. And also a big thanks to Placemaking NSW who have facilitated these works being displayed.
The photos below are of the Zonta Club of Sydney creation before it was hung in Circular Quay last year during the #16DaysofActivism campaign. There are also some photos of club members with the installation. We look forward to seeing how it all looks at the ICC where it will draw attention to International Women’s Day and the important work of Zonta in building a better world for women and girls.
